LDS Developers Conference

The first LDS Developers Conference is to be held on April 1-2. You'll meet members of the team, see a sneak preview of the new web sites which will be coming this Summer, and get hands-on training in how to design, write and test code for those web sites and for our new mobile device offereings.

  • We need help with our MobileMember and Scriptures apps for Palm Pre, iPhone, Android, WinMobile and iPhone.

  • We need a team to re-write our Interactive Music App for the new web platform. We haven't started this project and would really like to Beta test in May and ship in June.

  • You can help with many other ongoing projects (local unit directory, local unit calendar, YSA web site, etc.)

  • Or you can help us think of new ideas!

If you're interested in helping with our community efforts and you can get here, then get here!

  1. Why are you re-writing the Interactive Music App on the Church Music website? This is one of the coolest websites the Church has? If the reason to re-write the site is based on the site being written in Flash, that is a very poor decision.

  2. We don't care about the platform. We just want it to have the look and feel of the new site and be internationalized.

  3. Would love to be the ones to re-write the music player! We (Rain, aka mediaRain) built the first version and have built several other variations of it since.

  7. My, oh my... what a change. It wasn't that long ago we were joking about the church rushing headlong into the 1980s (this was somewhere about 2001). And now the church is looking at developing for iPad?

What else does one say but : welcome to the 21st Century! ;-)
