But I think I'm in love.

  • Indoor and outdoor hulls
  • Four propellers
  • 468Mhz ARM9 processor and 128MB of memory with Linux
  • Brightly colored stickers for augmented reality games
  • Two cameras (front-facing 15fps and downward-facing 60fps)
  • WiFi router
  • iPhone controller app

Let's see, $300 for kids' college expenses or the "Parrot AR Drone." Hmmmm. What should I choose?

Top five uses for the drone?

  1. Excuse for buying more tools
  2. Golf ball finder
  3. Viable alternative to video games for the kids
  4. Additional support for the "coolest guy in the neighborhood" award.
  5. Reason for living (maybe not…)

    Use #6: Fly around the office to see who is 'working'. See - now this post ties in with your day job. :)

    With the proliferation of corn mazes in Utah, the drone would be awesome for route finding. A required YM leader tool, especially at camp.
